First pics with the new camera

Yep, I know I'm going to love our new camera! Look at these pictures! I don't know anything about photography and this is the result. The tongue shots were taken in a matter of seconds. I just can't believe how clear and crisp the pictures turn out. This was definitely a good investment.

Pumpkin Goo!

This was the first year we carved pumpkins since we've been married...I think. I don't have any other pictures to prove otherwise, so it must be true. I'm really not into the whole gooey part (I don't like sticky hands) so it's a good thing Jason is here to save the day or else we'd never carve pumpkins. Chloe wasn't too sure about the gooey part either, but after the initial shock she dug right in.

I love roasted pumpkin seeds, but that's something else I haven't done in awhile so I thought I'd give it a whirl. Funny that I don't like to get my hands dirty because I think I was in the goo the most while picking out the pumpkin seeds. Oh well, we got some yummy treats later on (but I think I added too much salt and oil). Does anybody have a good recipe for pumpkin seeds?

Ready for better pictures?

For the past few years I've been so disappointed with my point and shoot, and I've always wanted a nicer camera. I probably should have learned to use my point and shoot better, but my pictures either turned out blurry, fuzzy, too dark, too light or not at all. I would try to take a picture of Chloe down the slide, but by the time the camera took the picture she was off doing something else. I've never considered getting a better camera because I thought they would just be wayyyyyyy toooooo expensive. Come to find out, through great family and friends, that my dream camera isn't out of my range. In fact, I got an awesome deal on a used camera that will make all my dreams come true. Ok, so maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but I'm so excited to learn all about taking better pictures.

Pumpkinland

Almost every weekend in October my sister's husband is gone for the hunt so it gives us a good chance to hang out. This weekend we went to Pumpkinland with the kids. That place is crazy popular, but we still had a good time even with the masses there. Plus, it's only $3.50...what a steal!

As we walked through the corn maze Jason would jump out and scare us and he got Angie really good at the end. When Chloe and I went back to Pumpkinland with her preschool last week she wanted me to carry her because she was afraid daddy was in the corn. Thanks, Jason!

Feher family fun about to get funner!

I know the announcement is a long time overdue, but we are adding another baby girl to our home. She should be here just in time to hear the sleigh bells ring, but I really hope that Santa grants my wish and brings her a little after the hustle and bustle. The doctor, the ultrasound and the measuring tape all say that I'm due on December 27th. Of all people I should know that December is a crappy month for a birthday, but there's no going back now! We're actually very grateful for this new addition and would take her any day of the year. Jason, Chloe and I are all excited for another little girl too. Some people have to have one of each, but I would honestly be ok with all girls. I guess I'm just more into Barbie's and dress-up than guns and back flips off the roof. But that would also have to mean that I'm more into drama queens and PMS...so the jury is still out on boys vs. girls.

Now the hard part...the naming game. We've already ruled out Holly, Joy, Rudolph, and Noel. Actually, Jason has ruled out almost all the names I've liked. So, if there are any suggestions out there we'd love to hear them.

Cornbelly's

I think Cornbelly's is becoming a tradition because we seem to go every year. This year I wasn't planning on going, but found out that Kbull, the radio station, had discount tickets so I couldn't pass up the opportunity. It also happened to be an amazing weekend for weather. I wanted to get there first thing Saturday morning because I thought it was going to be way crowded (like everything else is in Utah when there is a deal going on), but there weren't that many people in the morning...AMAZING!! Our nephew Gabe spent the night so he came along and played with Chloe.

The best part of Cornbelly's was the big jumpy thing (well, it looked like fun to me). The worst part was a hayride we went on. The driver must have been really bored because he walked up to us and asked if we wanted to go on a hayride. I'm all for a good hayride, but I seriously thought this one was going to put me into labor. Maybe I can come back in December and rock this baby right out of me!

Unfortunately my camera ran out of batteries about 10 minutes into the adventure, but here's a few shots from the day.

Labor Day Weekend

It was Feher family fun over labor day weekend. Jason's parents got their condo up at Snowbird this year so we got to take in some beautiful sights while having fun with the fam. When Jason and I first started dating one of the things I remember most is how his family liked to get together and have fun. We would play all sorts of games that I had never played before. Card games, board games, outdoor active games (like cutoff frisbee) and we always had a good time. Well, nothing has changed except we've added a few rascals to the picture. Up at snowbird we got some good board game time and some good outdoor play time at this cool little spot. My favorite part of the trip was the yummy pancake breakfast...thanks Maureen!!
