The next day we headed out to Long Beach to the Aquarium of the Pacific, but first we made a pit stop at the local beach in Carls bad. Chloe absolutely loved the beach. She loved the sand, the rocks, the water...everything!

Trip to California
We decided it was time to get away as a family so we headed out to California the weekend before Thanksgiving. Our destination was Carlsbad, but we flew into San Diego first and spent the first day at San Diego Zoo. The grizzlies were out and about and the cats were napping like usual. Chloe ran from exhibit to exhibit and lasted on her own two feet for a couple of hours, but since it takes her twice as many steps as us she got tired, then cranky which makes mom and dad cranky. Luckily we found an abandoned stroller and as soon as we put her in it she was out (just like the big cats). I think we managed to make it to every exhibit once we got her to sleep. If you're familiar with San Diego zoo you know that's quite a feat to visit every exhibit, but we did it! We were ready to hit the sack just like Chloe at the end of the day!
Chloe loved the goats at the petting zoo. 
Whoa...that giraffe is really tall!
