Trick or Treat?

I think the trick was getting the costume on, but once we did it sure was a treat!

This was Chloe's first real trick-or-treating experience. We went out last year, but I just carried her the whole time. As soon as we wrangled her into the costume and tied her down for the makeup we visited some neighbors, then headed over to my sister's for the big event. After a few thousand pictures from mom, Uncle Trav and Grandma we started on the quest for some candy. Chloe has some great cousins that knew exactly what to do so she caught on quickly. She'd walk up to the door, wait until she got some candy, then came back to Mom. I tried to get her to go for the chocolate stuff, but she seemed to have a different agenda. Every time they passed out a variety of candy she grabbed the suckers...and I think most of them got eaten before we even got home!

Grandma and Grandpa are here!

My parents came to visit the girls in Utah a couple of weeks ago and it happened to be during Halloween, so we got lots of treats. It was so fun just to be with them talking and laughing even though it was only for a short time. We took them to the Thanksgiving point gardens where they forgot to mention that the waterfall was turned off, but since it was such a nice day we had a good time walking and talking. We grabbed a bite to eat at Kneaders (YUM!) then headed back home to get some rest before we went out again for the real treats!

Watch out, Chloe! It's raining leaves!
Stop, good picture spot. J, not again!

Cute bums!
We love Grandma and Grandpa!
Just a friendly toad on the path.

Just Chill-axing at Home

Sometimes I just like to take pictures...the end.

P.S. I also had to capture this cute little outfit my sister got her. I just love it!

Big Girl Bed

Well, I was hoping this day would never come, but, alas, Chloe is now in a big girl bed. I thought she'd always be my baby in her little crib, but as soon as she started climbing out of her crib (still not sure how she managed that one) I knew she wasn't my baby anymore. Jason said one morning she just showed up in our bedroom with tears in her eyes, but that was the last of the tears. She went down for a nap and before Jason could get out the door of the bedroom she had pulled her monkey tricks out of the bag once again. In fear of permanent brain damage we decided to let her be the big girl she is now and we converted the crib into a toddler bed...so cute! What wasn't cute, was her showing up in the middle of the night in our bedroom or not even staying in her bedroom when we put her down for bed or a nap. So, we had to use some tricks of our own. Jamming a blanket in the door so she can't get out was a trick we learned courtesy of my sister. Works like a charm! We get the occasional knock on the door, but other then that no more midnight visits...don't worry about calling CPS, we can still hear her if she needs anything. So long to Baby Chloe and hello to my little girl.
