2 Months...Really?

Could it really be that 2 months have already flown by? Our baby girl is all grown up, but she still does the cute leg scrunch, bum in the air thing when you lift her up so it's ok. At her 2 month visit she was 9 lbs 4 oz, which is huge compared to her birth weight, but some people deliver babies her size so it's all about perspective. At 2 months we weren't quite down to a routine and she was still waking up once in the middle of the night. She was almost smiling, but I think they were still from gas bubbles. Speaking of gas, she is one little gassy girl. She'll be fine one minute then the next minute she'll stretch out her legs and cry in pain. Poor little girl.

One thing mommy loves to do is hold her little baby. My big sis tells me to put her down when she's sleeping, but I just can't resist. This little girl already has her momma wrapped around her little finger.

Pat-a-cake

We like to play pat-a-cake to get the toots out of Alanna. One day I found Chloe doing a little pat-a-cake game with Alanna all by herself. What a good big sis!

Trip to So Cal

The condo we stayed at in California had a little fishing pond...or at least they said there were fish in the pond. We didn't have much luck, but we had fun trying. As we sit here and look at the pictures of the pond Chloe reminds me that she got poop on her shoes...yuck!

Dumbo Party!!!

Dumbo Party...aka Disneyland!!! While I'm on maternity leave we decided to take advantage of the time off and visit Lance in Southern California. We stayed in Escondido (half hour from San Diego) for the week with Tiffy and her family. I always thought I would never go to Disneyland until all my kids would be old enough to enjoy and remember it. Well, I changed my mind since Disney is doing the volunteer thing this year. We all volunteered and got into Disneyland for free!!! Disneyland for free? It doesn't get any better. Going to Disneyland in February and hardly waiting in any lines? It doesn't get any better than that either!! About a week before we left for California I asked Chloe if she wanted to go on the Dumbo ride and that sparked a very anxious little girl. After I asked her that question all we heard until we went to Disneyland was "Are we going to the Dumbo party?" So now we will always think of Disneyland as the "Dumbo Party." Alanna even got to enjoy the party. She went on the Alice ride, Pirates of the Caribbean, Winnie the Pooh ride, and a few other small rides. Lucky girl!! And I even got to go on Space Mountain! I absolutely love Disneyland!

So Nurturing

Look, no hands! My new favorite thing...the baby wrap. Alanna loves to be in the wrap. I put her in and then get to work so I get to cuddle all day long and get things done at the same time.
