On the 4th we relaxed in the morning (it's what the Oatfield's do best) then got ready and went to one of the lakes nearby. Some of us canoed over to a close beach and the rest of us drove there where we enjoyed a picnic lunch and some fun on the beach. After dinner we headed into town to watch the local fireworks show. We had ice cream bars and joined the other locals in the grocery store parking lot to complete our 4th of July holiday. Unfortunately the weekend had to come to an end sometime so we packed up our things on Monday morning and headed for home. But first we stopped into Pinedale for lunch and our traditional shopping trip at the cowboy shop. Most of the kids ended up with a cap gun and holster...true Wyoming cowboys!
