Our first lilacs

We haven't had the best of luck with trying out our green thumbs. We've purchased from several different nurseries and tried all sorts of fertilizers, but despite our efforts many plants have died (I'm so sorry planet Earth). So, when our first lilac blooms surfaced this spring you can imagine the excitement...and the craziest part is that these lilac bushes were transplants from Jason's parent's yard. Our best plants have been the freebies and our best trees have been the random seeds that have flown into our yard. Go figure.
